I'd like to be fair, I loathe blogs- specifically, star and rumor sites. I hate, hate, loathe them but then, I'm conscious of Nigeria's leading blogger- Linda Ikeji and I value her as an entrepreneur so when a woman.
In fact, I respect her beyond those two points. I value the very fact that her site is her brain child and that her commitment has made her a huge influence on what huge numbers of people respond to. I may despise her sort of sites but I love, love, love this girl that's the reason why this post is all about her.
On the weekend, my sister while scrolling through her phone shouted for me, "Ada please, you need to see this! Linda Ikeji purchased a billion naira mansion in Banana Island". Then she showed me some pictures that only "astonishing" could describe. I was not unhappy for entrepreneurs, for women as well as for Linda . Indeed, "it is possible".
Within a day however, my sister came to me boiling in anger. "Folks are so mean. People're insulting Linda all over the net- trolling her, calling her a hooker sleeping with politicians. My sister should go and get married as without a guy, that, all her accomplishments are nothing. Would you understand that whether 5am or 2am, in case you visit my sister's site, you'd see content that is fresh? What do the man mean? Is there no rational person in Nigeria?"
So yesterday, I finally went online to sample the views of those trolling Linda Ikeji. My sister wasn't exaggerating. Individuals were mean.

None is deserving of a second of Linda's focus because Linda deserves none of their foolishness so I shall react (and hope is approved by her).
The "A girl is nothing with no man" place: Is this a Scriptural? A philosophical musing or a bash-the-superb successful-single-woman-over-the-head-because-she-makes-my-best-efforts-a-joke envy address?

Mediocrity's voice is not same although reasonable. In case you're a married woman, they request you to get off the web and go take care of marriage and your husband. The men trolls are obviously smallminded men who feel threatened with a woman's greatness and need validation within their particular lives. The female trolls obviously possess the men as their vine. They are alright living a guy concentrated life and have purchased to the patriarchal dominance.
About wife, girlfriend, mistress, sugar mums, baby mamas, ex-wives, history history of sexual abuse, history of domestic abuse , no one would produce a noise for the male stars and politicians. Here we have a girl whose handwork is not unclear, a woman who keeps you amused, a girl that does not have any scandal and you also lift your hands up to hurl stones?
The "Give all these earthly/material things to the poor" Set: Maybe you've got even benefitted from among Linda IKeji's numerous giveaways. Perhaps you've heard the woman give a speech or read her life story also it moved you.
